الكاتب: Pyotr Wrangel

  • Pyotr Wrangel (1878–1928) was a prominent Russian military leader and one of the key figures of the White Army during the Russian Civil War (1917–1923). Known as the "Black Baron" for his distinctive black uniform and aristocratic background, Wrangel distinguished himself as a skilled commander. After taking command of the White forces in southern Russia and Crimea in 1920, he led a determined but ultimately unsuccessful campaign against the Bolshevik Red Army. Following his defeat, he organized the evacuation of Crimea in November 1920, saving thousands of soldiers and civilians. Wrangel spent his remaining years in exile, continuing to oppose the Soviet regime until his sudden death in 1928, widely believed to have been caused by poisoning. He remains a symbol of resistance and dedication to the anti-Bolshevik cause.
